Nice to meet you, I'm Maysnow

🛍️ I'm on the UX team at Zappos & Shopbop—Amazon's e-commerce fashion brands—owning both design systems alongside product work spanning compliance, checkout, and post-purchase experiences. I report to the UX director, partner with Product and Engineering leadership to shape our design direction, and I've led the team's shift toward AI-assisted design tooling.

👩🏻‍💻 Earlier, I spent 2.5+ years at AWS Fintech as the lead UX and sole designer for 4 web products in the financial planning/reporting space, owning the full-cycle UX process from discovery → delivery for initiatives supporting the AWS CFO and finance leadership. Before that, I worked on conversational web interfaces at ServiceNow, Zendesk, and UC San Diego's Design Lab.

🧠 I hold double degrees in Cognitive Science and Design from the University of California, Davis. My skill set spans research, synthesis, strategy, wireframing, prototyping, design systems, AI/Figma proficiency, and design operations.

My Process

Design approach

🔑 Empathy is key

Designs should reflect understanding of its users and utilize user research insights to address their needs and frustrations.

💭 Listen, communicate

Early and constant communication with cross-functional partners is necessary to gain a holistic understanding of the product.

🤖 Leverage AI and resources

AI is part of my everyday flow, not a separate step—I use it to lower the barrier to experimentation, testing more directions and prototyping ideas faster, while my own judgment stays in the driver's seat.

There's something to learn from everything, and growth will never stop so long as I hold this intrinsic desire to learn.

It's only in the face of adversity and change where I'm able to assess and strengthen myself to grow as a person.
